Meta has retained ID Studio for several years to provide website design, development and ongoing support across TTC Labs, TTC Labs Toolkit, Open Loop and Positive Personalisation. The partnership continues today, with our team maintaining and developing all four websites as their requirements evolve.
We work alongside Meta’s teams and creative partners, contributing design ideas and providing the front-end and back-end development needed to put them into practice.
Our role connects new design work with the day-to-day needs of the websites, from introducing pages and features to supporting the systems used to manage their content. It brings together the design and technical experience of our London web design agency within an ongoing working relationship.
TTC Labs
Trust, Transparency & Control Labs brings together policymakers, privacy experts and product creators to explore how digital products can give people greater understanding and control over their personal data. The website shares the initiative’s research, reports and design examples.
TTC Labs Toolkit
A practical resource for teams running workshops around trust, transparency and control. The website helps visitors explore tools, exercises and design assets by theme and activity, from planning and discovery through to prototyping and development.
Open Loop
Meta’s global programme connects policymakers and technology companies to help shape policy for AI and emerging technologies. The website introduces its approach and provides access to programmes, workshops, news and findings.
Positive Personalisation
A website exploring how responsible personalisation can make digital services more useful while respecting privacy and giving people control. It brings together examples covering areas such as personalised AI assistants, education and urban mobility, with a focus on the benefits for people across Europe.
We work alongside Meta’s teams and creative partners to develop and implement website designs across the four projects.
Each website has its own content and requirements. Our website design work brings these together through clear page layouts and interfaces that make research, reports and resources easy to explore.
The relationship continues beyond the initial design work. We support new pages, sections and design updates as the websites develop, making sure new designs work alongside the existing pages and features.
Our front-end development translates the designs into working pages and interactions, bringing together layouts, navigation and visual effects.
For TTC Labs, this has included creative coding using Three.js, ScrollTrigger and Canvas. These technologies support animated and interactive elements that bring movement to the website and give its content a distinctive presentation.
We provide the back-end coding and bespoke website development needed to support each project’s functionality and content management requirements.
For TTC Labs, we migrated the website from Contentful to ProcessWire as its requirements evolved. The new CMS allows the team to create pages using combinations of designed modules, providing flexibility when publishing new content.
This is one example of our wider technical role: adapting the systems behind the websites alongside the design and content visitors see.
Our involvement continues through ID Support, providing ongoing website support, maintenance and development across all four projects.
We help with technical issues, design changes, front-end and back-end updates, and new requirements as they arise. For TTC Labs, our work has also included content management assistance, migration and upgrade support.
Having an established team involved over time means new work can build on an existing understanding of the websites and how they are managed.
