Website Design

Creative Website Design That Combines Stunning Visuals, Clear Structure & An Easy User Experience

Before Deciding How The Website Should Look, We Work Out How It Should Be Structured.

We plan the navigation, page structure, and user journeys to make it easy for visitors to achieve your website's objectives. This could be finding out about your services, completing an enquiry or making a purchase.

Wireframes are created to show how the different pages will be structured and how users will flow from one page to the next.

Creative Website Design

Once the structure and user journeys are agreed upon, we begin developing the creative direction for the website. We bring your brand, content and user journeys together to create a website that is distinctive, clear and intuitive to use.

Every design decision has a purpose, whether that is helping people understand your services, make an enquiry, complete a purchase or engage with your organisation.

New Websites & Website Redesigns

ID Studio designs websites for startups, established businesses, and companies whose existing websites no longer reflect where they are today.

For website redesigns, we review what is already there before making recommendations on what needs to change. This includes reviewing the site structure, content, visual design, user journeys and functionality.

Responsive & Accessible Design

We consider how the website will be viewed and used across desktop, tablet and mobile throughout the design process. Navigation, layouts, and content are planned to remain clear and easy to use across different screens.

Accessibility is also considered from the outset, including typography, colour contrast, page structure and interactive elements. When specific accessibility standards need to be met, these requirements are incorporated into the planning and design

FAQs

  • What is included in the website design process?
What is included in the website design process?

The design process usually includes discovery, sitemap planning, user journeys, wireframes, creative direction, page designs and responsive layouts. The exact stages will depend on the size and requirements of the website.

  • Do you offer bespoke website design?
Do you offer bespoke website design?

Yes. Every website is completely bespoke and designed around the organisation, its brand, content and users. We never start with or use a pre-designed theme, nor do we adapt the same layout for every project.

  • How involved will our team be in the design process?
How involved will our team be in the design process?

Your team will be involved at key stages, including discovery, wireframe reviews and creative presentations. We agree clear points for feedback and approval so decisions can be made before the project moves into website development.

  • Does all the website content need to be ready before design begins?
Does all the website content need to be ready before design begins?

Not necessarily, and in reality it often isn’t. Final copy can continue to develop during the project, although having realistic content early helps us create layouts that reflect the length, importance and purpose of the information.

  • Can animation and movement be included in the website design?
Can animation and movement be included in the website design?

Yes. Animation, transitions, and interactive ideas can be considered during the creative stage, where they enhance the experience. We have a fair amount of animation on the ID Studio website, but we use movement carefully so that it supports the content and does not make the website significantly slower, distracting or difficult to use.

  • How do you manage design feedback from several stakeholders?
How do you manage design feedback from several stakeholders?

We agree who needs to review and approve the design at the beginning of the project. Feedback is gathered at set stages and consolidated before being returned to the design team, helping to avoid conflicting comments and repeated rounds of changes.
